Trail Overview

This is a fun two-track dirt trail that gives you a glimpse into the grasslands and Badlands most people don't get to experience. You may encounter lots of prairie dogs and large herds of antelope. Do not attempt this trail if it is raining/snowing or if there has been moisture in the last week; it will appear dry, but there will be very sticky clay beneath. You will pass through 5 gates which are closed (make sure to close them behind you) and one cattle guard at the entrance/exit to the trail as it meets the highway.

Difficulty

This is a quite easy two-track dirt trail, but there are a couple of spots where you cross small creek and drainage areas where you will need high clearance. Do not attempt this trail if it is raining/snowing or if there has been moisture in the last week. The top looks dry but underneath there is very soft and sticky clay mud. You may need 4H in a couple of small spots.
