Trail Overview
This an easy trail that can be traveled by any high clearance 4x4, as long as conditions are dry. The first section is deep sand with a scenic drive along the side of the river. There is a small, hidden, little known primitive campsite along the back of the trail that makes a great picnic area away from the trails and dust. The trail is mostly deep loose sand, with some areas of packed red clay, and a single loose rock hill climb with a nice outlook as a reward. Technically any full size 4x4 with clearance can traverse this trail no problem, however, be aware the wild Texas Plum and Mesquite trees will provide you with Texas pinstripe proof of your adventure down the sides of your vehicle. Cell service is carrier dependent and spotty. Trail conditions will deteriorate significantly and quickly with any precipitation. Reducing tire pressure is necessary due to the areas of deep sand.
