Trail Overview
This is actually part of the Great Western Trail - a hiking route that spans North/South from Mexico to Canada. Hikers could be present on the trail, so please be respectful. The trail begins with a short, rocky hill climb and is the first of many you'll experience along the way. The next ones are steeper and rockier further up the trail. The trail weaves and winds its way through the forest and offers beautiful meadow views. Eventually, the trail ends for motor vehicles - I'd recommend turning around before reaching the very end, as there is no room to turn around (you'll have to back down). Respect posted signs, "ATVs avoid using meadows - please stay on designated roads and trails only". Primitive camping was noted around the beginning of the trail. The area closed in the winter months.
