Trail Overview
Comb Wash Cave Road continues north of Road 205 for another 2 miles as an unmaintained 4x4 route with some more technical spots. It's a narrow dirt road, with rocky sections and big dips across ravines that you need high clearance for. It's harder because it has off-camber climbs in and out of washes and sections that are really rutted, creating off-camber slopes. It has lots of big G-outs and uneven layers of dirt. It also has narrower spots. The rocky sections are either big loose rocks in the road or rock ledges about a foot tall. There's one off-camber ledge obstacle that you go down that is full of big rocks and washouts that make it a 4 difficulty. It's a fun challenge and scenic. It goes north underneath Combs Ridge, so it has nice views of the sandstone rock layers.
