Trail Overview
This beautiful trail winds its way through the mountains with views down both sides of the mountain as well as stunning mountain scenery. The trail starts as a 2 vehicle-wide road and then turns into a challenging trail. Once you pass the trail marker marking the trail as a multi-use trail the road becomes extremely rocky with steep grades with loose rocks that do not have any bypasses. The trail winds its way through the trees until it dead ends at a clearing with multiple hiking trails branching off from it. This trail requires decent ground clearance, good tires, as well as 4WD. It is important that you make sure to look at the road ahead and decide if you are going to be able to drive back up the road as all but 1 of the steep grades has an easier bypass. While challenging, this is a very scenic trail that will provide amazing overlooks, as well as beautiful forest scenery. This trail closes November 1st and isn't open until July 1st and may be impassible due to rain or snow.
