Trail Overview
This Interconnect Spur runs south from the Dry Creek-Box Creek Interconnect and rises to an elevation of nearly 9,400 feet, offering fantastic views of the surrounding mountain meadows and mountain peaks. There is one water crossing, even in late July, that is probably fed by a nearby spring. The trail does have some loose rock hills, but they're not steep and not difficult. Good ground clearance is all that's required. There is a ton of feed up here for wildlife, and water too, so sightings are likely. The wildflowers and cacti were in full bloom in the middle of summer. This is another amazing full-width trail to get away from the beaten path. Enjoy a picnic, or set up a tent and stay a few nights.
