Trail Overview

Moab rim starts as a 20% grade for the first mile, with a series of obstacles that would be considered much easier on a flat trail. However, adding the sandstone steps to an already tilted sandstone cliff rim can be intimidating for even experienced wheelers. Once on top of the mesa, there are a couple of beautiful overlooks, which may be arguably one of the best views of the town of Moab at an elevation of 5390 ft. The view of the Colorado River Gorge is equally breathtaking on the way up and down, but the driver will not have time to take it in as they negotiate the obstacles. There is also an optional sand hill at the tip that many enjoy trying their hand at climbing.
