Trail Overview
Red Mountain West Access is a 1-mile point-to-point trail rated 3 of 10 located in Uintah County, Utah. This trail provides access from the pavement on the west side of Red Mountain up to the Red Mountain Loop trail. Running the loop west to east is the easier direction (rated 6) as the most difficult obstacles to climb are on the eastern accent. The access trail is mostly dirt and some slickrock with only one steep descent and one major climb up to the loop trail. Cell phone service is intermittent.

Trail consisting of loose rocks, dirt, and sand with some slickrock surfaces, mud holes possible, no steps higher than 12". 4WD may be required, aggressive tires are a plus.
