Trail Overview
Red Slot Trail is a 1.1-mile-long dirt bike trail in White Wash that goes through a red sandstone landscape with a few trickier ledge obstacles. The east end starts in an open desert on a red dirt trail, meandering up and over small hills and dipping into ravines. It's got some embedded rocks, lots of tracks to follow, and goes past cool boulder rock formations. Then it drops into a sandstone slot canyon for the main feature. The trail goes down a few big ledge obstacles that are pretty technical because they are blunt rock faces and steep. There are rocks piled up to help ramp up/down it, but it's still a pretty steep drop-off. You'll go down all the obstacles if riding east to west, and this is probably easier than trying to go up. The trail is pretty neat though because you ride through a narrow slot, totally surrounded by red rock. At the end of the slot, it widens up and drops into a sandy wash, then continues out into the wide-open desert. The trail ends on an access road B355. This is a fun trail to combine with Red Rock Trail, Mary's Trail, and Brian's Trail for a challenging day ride.
