Trail Overview
This full-width Jeep road starts off of Highway 89, goes past the BLM office, and is a maintained graded gravel road until it passes the Under Canvas glamping company. It's unmaintained and narrower after that point. The rest of the road is a hard-packed mix of sand and dirt, with sections of flat slab rock embedded in the surface of the road. It would probably be pretty passable for a high-clearance 2WD vehicle if dry. It's very easy for any 4WD high-clearance vehicle. The slab rock makes it bumpy and it's sandy--but not deep sand. It goes past a couple of campsites and lots of other unmarked intersections to explore. It gets pretty high use, evident by the washboard surface, and you might see UTV tours coming out here. This is one of the main ways to get to the Paria Canyon Overlook if you keep taking this road from 6115 to 1094. The trail gradually gains 800 feet over 4 miles as it goes south, but is very steady and mostly flat in sections.
