Trail Overview
This is a wide and flat trail on red dirt with embedded slab rock that takes you out to see one of the geysers in this area. This is a lesser-known geyser compared to Crystal Geyser which most people probably don't visit or know about. The trail goes through sandy washes, with several really big dips to get into and out of the washes repeatedly. The east end of the trail is really wide, but it narrows up as it heads west. It meanders through the red sandstone mesas in a cool landscape, surrounded by red dirt bluffs and sandstone mesas. It constantly goes up and over small hills, sometimes with small rock ledges. You'll know you are close to the geyser when you start seeing crusty salt spots in the dirt. It's a flat pool of water on sulfuric-looking rock surrounded by white salt, right on the side of the trail.
