Trail Overview
This is a VERY short out and back with fantastic views and an amazing swing at the trail end. Right as soon as you turn off the paved road the trail will fork. The left is a 4WD high clearance climb, the road to the right is way more mellow (think Subaru friendly) and will get you to the same destination and adds very little time vs. the climb route. When you get to the top and can see the weather station (but before you get to the weather station) to the left you will see another trail leading through a fence. The land here is not posted, but there is a gate. We have come here twice, once the gate was open, the second time it was closed. However, you find it, leave it the same. When getting to the very end, as far as you can drive, there is a little berm right in front that you walk up and over and you'll see the swing below. The Big Swing has a great view of the valley below and with a good push, it almost feels like you are going to go flying right off into the valley!
