Trail Overview
Unforgiven is a 2-mile end-to-end series of obstacles that will challenge even the most experienced driver. This trail is rated 8 of 10 and deserves this rating. The trail is named Unforgiven because these obstacles do not forgive mistakes. Off-camber climbing turns, 10-foot tall slickrock waterfalls with hard left or right turns that if you miss you are over the side. Unforgiven is packed full of tall wall climbs, several technical sections and some off-camber turns and descents. The trail consists of sand track, slickrock, and sandstone formation. Once on the trail, obstacles are non-stop requiring high belly clearance, commitment, and the nerves it takes to push it up some of these climbs. The most challenging sections have very 70 degrees plus steep walls requiring a good approach, break-over, and extreme departure angles. Add to all of the excitement of the trail obstacles, Unforgiven provides some of the best scenic sandstone formations that Sand Mountain has to offer. At present there is no trailhead marker.
