Trail Overview
Whitbecks Gate is an amazing trail! With access via two trails to the Whitbeck Rock, it's a popular area for climbers and hikers. Once past the rock, the trail narrows to single-lane/two-track with terrain varying from sandy dune-type sections to ledges and waterfalls to large slick rock areas. There is no service out here, so downloading offline maps is prudent for your journey. Several other trails connect and head off along the top of the plain towards the White Rim trail. Juniper trees, cacti, and scrub brush are present along this trail, as well as many species of lizards and birds. At the end of this trail, there is a gate at the boundary of Canyonlands National Park.
