Trail Overview

This is a graded forest service road from Highway 150 to Whitney Reservoir. The first mile from Hwy 150 is street-legal-only vehicle, then all off-road vehicles are allowed after the restrooms and parking area. The roads are wide enough to accommodate trucks and trailers. Great opportunities to see Moose and Deer when the roads are less crowded. There are a lot of side roads off of FS 032 to explore. Stay left when you get to the reservoir to view the reservoir or stay right to go explore more. Almost halfway to the reservoir, there is a forest service emergency snow hut and a vault restroom.
