Trail Overview
Clear Creek Trail is a beautiful, easy-running trail that follows Clear Creek almost all the way up the trail on your left with the potential for a waterfall view if you find parking and hike to it. There are easy-to-navigate washouts that could potentially become water crossings if there are periods of heavy rain. This trail is located off the seasonal section of Mountain Loop close to Darrington and is only open during Summer and Fall. The last 1/4 mile or less of this trail does have a more challenging narrow washout with exposure on the right that leads to a medium, relatively private camp area with hiking trails. 4x4 is recommended for getting to this spot. There is also a not-so-private grass pad earlier off the trail to camp at as well and a valley view viewpoint about 2/3 of the way in.

Difficulty
This trail consists of evenly laid gravel/ small rock/ dirt soil with the occasional pothole. There are several small washes that are easy to traverse. The very end of the trail has a narrow steep rocky washout though that will most likely take 4x4 to get to and full-size trucks might find an issue traversing the 2nd wash to get to the camping spot due to the narrowness and exposure to the right. No water crossing is present but periods of heavy rain could cause the washes to flood.
