Trail Overview
The trail system located to the west of US-97 is considered one of the most difficult trail systems in Washington state. This trail is renowned for its steep hill climbs, substantial boulder obstacles, and demanding off-camber sections. The dense forests are filled with beautiful ponderosa pine and Douglas-fir trees. This narrow trail is just wide enough for one vehicle and is recommended for experienced riders. For your safety, it's highly recommended to bring a second machine when attempting this challenging trail.

History
In 1867, gold was discovered in Liberty. The gold in the Liberty area is unique in that it occurs as lode gold (microscopic amounts of gold mixed with rock and other minerals) that is mined from hard rock mines. Additionally, it is found in streams in a crystalline form called wire gold, as well as in nugget form.
