Trail Overview
SMC is a 1.3-mile-long dirt bike trail through the Walker Valley ORV Area. It is an easy single track, with small features like roots, low embedded rocks, and somewhat steep sections, but is overall still very easy for the average rider. It's a mix of really wide sections traversing across hillsides, and sometimes narrower trail through flat grassy sections. There are a couple of embedded boulder surfaces, tight curves, and gradual switchbacks up a hill. It goes through a really thick forest full of red cedars and Douglas firs. There are constantly small roots across the trail, and if there are any bigger roots, there is often a way around them. Part of the trail goes through an overgrown section of bushes with branches that whack you. You can tell that this trail system is really well maintained, as there are wooden bridges over small creeks, cement pavers in the trail to prevent erosion, and signs at every intersection.
