Trail Overview

Take the family on this fun drive to a really cool fire lookout tower. You can visit it on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Ten people can climb the tower at a time. The road to Deadman Lookout is open to licensed vehicles only.

Super easy dirt road that’s suitable for just about any car. Plenty of campsites along the road but it was BUSY. I guess it’s the spot to be in the summer. If you go far enough you will find plenty of campsites but early on in the trail people are packed into every one. At the end of the road it’s worth it to go up to the lookout tower. Super cool to go up there and learn about the history of it and be able to see everything around. Very pretty views and definitely should be on your itinerary.
