Trail Overview
This well-traveled route heads from the lowlands close to the river into the hills, ending at the massive Blair Trail Reservoir. Be sure to watch for the many cattle out in the middle of the road. If you are lucky, you may even catch the cowboys wrangling calves on the way up here. Be sure to check out the Emigrant reservoir dispersed campsite and rec area. It has tons of camping spots and unbelievable views of the surrounding mountains. The trail is primarily smooth gravel and generally has enough room to pass oncoming. There are one to two bars of LTE Verizon cell service.
