Trail Overview
This rough track is significantly rockier toward the southern end, closer to the Navajo Reservation. With only one rock obstacle near Willows Camp, you'll find this road challenging after rain or snow, due to the deep mud ruts, and rocky terrain. Willows Camp is an interesting area, with ruins of an old homestead (with walls still standing) and evidence of a wall built perhaps by hand for a type of water catchment or reservoir. Wild Horses, Elk, and Antelope will join you on your journey as you come from the open high prairie from the South to the mixed pines of the Kaibab National Forest as you travel northward.
