Trail Overview

Cedro is an intermediate single track in the Manzanita Mountain Trail System that starts at the Cedro Trailhead and ends on Forest Service Road 05627 (Meadow Ridge). This trail has a lot more fast and flowy sections where the dirt is smooth and rock-free, but also has several rock ledge obstacles. The fast sections are in between the rock obstacles and sections of loose rock. The obstacles are like ramped rock slabs and boulders of moderate difficulty because they aren't too big and don't have any exposure. The trail doesn't have much elevation gain. It's mostly flat, but super curvy and tight within the pinyon pine trees, with a couple of tree pinches. This is a fun one because it is a bit easier and faster.

There's enough trails for 2-3 days of riding, and is best in fall and spring when it's not too hot. Be aware of oncoming traffic since there are lots of tight turns and it can be busy. There are several staging areas from the north off of Chamiso Canyon Road, as well as the Tunnel and Pine Flat Trailheads along State Road 337, and from the south at the Oak Flat Trailhead.
