Trail Overview
Redington Pass is a very popular two-lane road with lots of dispersed camping on the western slope overlooking Tucson. This pass varies in difficulty from deep ruts and washouts with many full washes. Most of the western side can be traversed in a low clearance 2wd with caution but it's not advised. Airing down is recommended if completing the whole pass. The most difficult portion of this trail is the water crossing in the east valley. It is soft and muddy and should only be tackled in a high clearance 4wd when full of water. The views of the surrounding mountains are incredible along this long meandering trail.
