Wallsburg Loop

Parts down by the river/creek are really washed out. The climb up past the river now has a bypass as the original road is severely rutted and nearly impassible. Rough trails with baby head rocks most of the way. Passing on-coming vehicles is hard as trail is narrow with few places to move over.

We went from Wallsberg to Daniel’s Lodge. Very rocky and very rutted. I don’t think the trail was really worth the views. Be careful about directions because it’s not marked very well.

Only the north western side of the loop is rough. Most of it is smooth graded forest service road. The tougher section starts after the last road splits off downhill to the west and the trail turns north. It does get deeply incised in places and you may need to take a couple of bypasses, one of which has some significant ledges. Mostly, it's just rocky and slow going on that part, however. Expect the last quarter to take as long as the other 3/4 if you're going clockwise.

I was just doing a little research before running the trail. (If I end up doing so I will edit this) Just making it known that from 40.333933,-111.377866 to 40.352357,-111.402064 is pavement, which is 4.2 miles. Street legal machines might be a better option, which mine are not....
