Kelly Spur Road (FS 136) Loop

Trail Overview

This is a short detour/loop off Vanocker Canyon Road to the west and is about 2.5 miles between the beginning/end of Vanocker Canyon Road. The southern portion runs east/west along Little Elk Creek and is a maintained road wide enough for two vehicles. Cattle can be seen grazing in the eastern area close to Vanocker Canyon Road, and there are some private lots on the north side of the road. The northern portion of the loop is less maintained and narrow with mud holes in a couple of places.

Difficulty

There are some places in the northern portion (Kelly Spur Br 3a) where the mud holes can be deep, as the trees do not allow for a lot of sun to dry the trail out.
