Trail Overview
NFS 9847 is an easy off-road trail located within the Manistee National Forest. This trail typically isn't technical, but it does have one hilly section that can get washed out. When this happens, tree roots get exposed and cause this section to be slightly more difficult. There is an easy bypass to the north, but if there hasn't been much rain, this section should be no problem for a standard SUV. If there has been lots of bad weather and lots of rain, a high-clearance 4x4 should make it through here with no issues. You can just take the bypass as well. This trail runs alongside the Cedar Creek Motorsport Trail, which is used for ATVs and dirt bikes. Most of the trail consists of sand and dirt and is typically only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Regardless of the conditions, this is a cool trail!
