Trail Overview
This is a long, slow ascent full of switchbacks and beautiful views once you get above the timberline. The Middle Taylor Creek Campground is a great place to camp, and there are some fantastic fishing lakes in the area. Hike to a waterfall from the campground, and bring your camera. ATVs and dirtbikes will have fun playing on the Rainbow Multiuse Trail System.

Tried to go up Hermit pass today, got into 6-8” snow from the start, made it to about 1.3 miles and it was about 20-24” and we were turtling in the snow and sliding off the road. Dug and throttled out knowing it was only gonna get deeper and steeper as continue…. Wait till spring or buy some snow tracks.

Took about an hour to reach the summit. Rocky the last half of the way. Aw red one views and fun. Colors are starting to peak! Sunny, warm and clear!
