Trail Overview
Gooseberry Mesa and the surrounding area are a mecca for all things dirt biking and hiking. There is an endless network of trails in this region. Off this particular road, you'll find the Gooseberry Mesa trailhead and Windmill trailhead. The trail is easy enough for 2WD vehicles, but note that the trail may become more difficult in wet conditions. The first 1.5 miles is Private Property, so please be respectful of the posted signs. After that, it turns to public BLM land where dozens of primitive camp spots exist. The views overlooking the desert floor below and the Southside of Zions National Park canyon are pretty incredible, to say the least. Summer months will reach triple-digit temperatures - plan accordingly with plenty of water.
