Trail Overview
This side loop off of the main Pack River Road is one of the more technically challenging trails in the area. The track is open with minimal overhanging vegetation but narrow with some steep drop-offs. There are occasional wide spots where passing is possible and a few open areas large enough to set up camp. Depending on the time of year, the surface is rough with medium-sized rocks, both loose and embedded, in primitive dirt and/or mud. There is one seasonal water crossing near the summit at Homestead Creek. This area is covered in deep snow during the winter, so access by vehicles other than snowmobiles will be limited.

Difficulty
The loose rocks combined with steep inclines and sharp switchbacks make getting traction difficult in some areas. Off-road tires are highly recommended. Average trail speed is under 10 MPH.
