Squaw Peak

North to South - Started the Trail around 1030-1100, it was busy getting to trail as so many people pushing for Buffalo Pass for Fall photos. After Buffalo Pass, I saw maybe 12 vehicles the rest of the way. Clear day, beautiful views, very easy trail and conditions of trail were excellent. It was really dusty, to be excepted. So close windows or you’re eating dirt. It was my first time doing the trail and I would say besides a few bumps/holes , any vehicle could have been successful . Well worth the entire drive as you experience and witness views from inside the Mountains. 1/10 trail difficulty, 10/10 views. PS - if you go the full length of the trail either from South to North or North to South, you will encounter steep cliffs, it isn’t a race - enjoy the views, enjoy the ride. Cheers

Drove south to north, first few miles through the easement were pretty well maintained. Not graded, but a Subaru or AWD vehicle could probably get through. Gorgeous fall colors and expansive views once we got to the top! From there, the trail meanders through Kolob basin towards Kyhv peak. The road is rocky and bumpy, mild exposure to drop offs. The last few miles (north side) are VERY rough. The road is extremely rutted and full of pits and holes. Sedans would struggle, AWD crossovers can get through with the right line. Overall a great trail with all sorts of views, easy with a good vehicle.

Drove the trail from South to North. The first 5+ miles were recently graded. I aired down about 10 miles. The first 15 miles of the drive was amazing. Very few vehicles, the leaves are at that peak moment showing multiple colors bright and EVERYWHERE you look. Once I got past the campground the road turned to garbage. Super rough, horribly trafficked, and super dusty. From that point further looking for leaves or amazing views was gone. Lots of two wheel drive sedans. Literally, plastic pieces of the underside of cars on the road and side of the road. So, many people I wished I would have turned around and gone back the way I came in. Still glad I did it. 2nd time driving the trail. Please open more roads like this to the public Utah Forest Service and Uintah National. There are way too many people in this area to not have more options to travel and explore and escape.
