Trail Overview
This trail is one of the starter sections to many trails on the western side of Huntersville State Forest trails. It is not overly narrow and really fun, zig-zagging through the trees. There are no major obstacles. Compared to nearby singletrack Paul Bunyan and Spider Lake Trails, this trail system is generally narrower but has fewer obstacles, fewer inclines and declines, fewer rocks, and less water. There are, however, pretty consistent whoops. They aren't uncomfortable, but they do typically need to be hit fast or the rider needs to stand or sit through the up-and-down roller coaster. The river and woods are very pretty with a nice variety of trees that make for awesome fall colors.
