Trail Overview
This is a cool spur route to an even cooler large, abandoned gold mine that is still mostly intact, with artifacts present and boarded-up deep mine shaft entrances. It has fairly rugged terrain to walk about and explore, with great desert views galore. It's a great place to stop, have a beer and lunch, and let the kids run around and explore, but beware of the mine shaft entrances! Entering abandoned mine shafts can be very dangerous, with unsafe structures ripe for cave-ins and poisonous snakes and scorpions living within.
