Trail Overview

This wide maintained Forest Road has large primitive campsites large enough for 5th wheel and large travel trailers near Highway64. Along hunting sites near the highway, there are burn piles near 64, so be sure to check with local land management about possible closures during your time here. You'll see evidence of horses and elk, as well as deer and antelope, especially in the hunting camps and pull-offs along this track. Along this drive, the Ponderosa Pines and Juniper yield to an interesting, rocky, mini canyon section that ultimately opens to a rare view of the Coconino Plateau nestled in the corner of the Kaibab National Forest.
