Trail Overview
This trail parallels a pretty lake toward the western section of the Huntersville trail system. The trail has some small hills and whoops, as well as some sharper, windy sections that appear to be rutted/wet on occasion. Those sections might have just been cleaned up from downed trees. Overall, it's a nice trail at a nice width. Compared to nearby singletrack Paul Bunyan and Spider Lake Trails, this trail system is generally narrower but has fewer obstacles, fewer inclines and declines, fewer rocks, and less water. There are, however, pretty consistent whoops. They aren't uncomfortable, but they do typically need to be hit fast or the rider needs to stand or sit through the up-and-down roller coaster. The river and woods are very pretty with a nice variety of trees that make for awesome fall colors.
