Weiser Valley

The start right off the 15 on exit 80 has both large rocks and orange cones blocking the way. Did go beyond as I believe this could be reservation land and it was obvious someone had closed blocked it.

Permanently barricaded at UTE exit from 15. Access may still be possible from other less direct side trails.

Ute road at I-15 is completely obstructed with rock and debris with a "Construction Area" sign posted. There is no pass through for quads or larger. Bikes may be able to get through but I didn't see how. I went around to see the construction and found none, only the washed away road. It appears unlikely this road will be fixed anytime soon.

Washout right at the trailhead is passable on dirt bike, or with 4wd and sufficient clearance. Longer wheel bases may pose additional challenges. Once past the wash out, the asphalt portions leading to the canyon are mostly intact. As you start navigating the wash through the first canyon section, evidence of recently flooding and rockfall are all around you. Be prepared for some rock crawling and significant obstacles of a wide variety of sizes. There are many sharp rocks in this area. Do not attempt without at least one spare and the ability to change it! With these recent changes to the trail conditions, rating should be at least 4-5, though after this area the trail does return to its usual 3 rating.
