Trail Overview
White Sulphur OHV Trail System is composed of several Forest Service roads and trails in the White Sulphur area, forming a 17-mile trail system of connecting loops. It is located near Cave Run Lake in the Cumberland Ranger District. The trail is located in moderately rugged terrain, primarily following ridgetops. Most of the trail is hardened with gravel to prevent erosion and impacts on the watershed. The trail is designed for novice to intermediate riders. Orange diamond-shaped blazes mark the designated trail route. Important Note: White Sulphur OHV Trails are open to motorized use between May 1 and November 30 only, passes are required. The trail system is best suited for single-day trips due to the lack of overall mileage. Cave Run Lake has multiple USFS maintained campgrounds and non-motorized trails with lots of scenic vistas. The nearby town of Morehead has several great food and beverage options.
