Trail Overview
This is a main byway Forest Service Road that will connect Highway 20 (through additional roads) and the St. Anthony area if other roads are followed. People can go to the St. Anthony Sand Dunes via roads along this path. You will need a higher clearance vehicle to get over some of the washed areas and rocks on the road. Most pickups and similar clearance vehicles should have no issues. Caution should be exercised during inclement weather but this is a good gravel/dirt-based road. You will be traveling through some very beautiful forested areas that are broken up by some meadows. This is just a nice ride if you are looking for something easy. This road has experienced significant traffic, turning the dirt to a flour consistency, so the dust is substantial.

Difficulty
This road has a variety of surfaces and some areas of washes and rocks that will require some additional clearance to safely traverse the road. The road is infrequently maintained. Someone had been working on part of the road with heavy equipment, turning the dirt into flour and resulting in high levels of dust. Most farm-type pickups and SUVs with similar clearance should be able to traverse the road if care is taken in the rougher areas. This is a snowmobile trail in the winter.
