Trail Overview
Striped Peak is a short ATV trail in the St. Joe National Forest that has a bit more challenges than some of the surrounding ATV trails due to so many rocks. It's a shelf road with lots of loose rock and cobble, with steady hill climbs and descents. The north end of the trail has a small staging area on the dirt road that the trail starts on. It goes south to meet up with Lake Elsie ATV Trail. The trail goes through two small scree sections, but they are packed down. Much of the trail is socked into the trees and really rocky, but there are some nice views through a couple openings in the trees. ATVers can combine this trail with Lake Elsie, Lake Elsie Ridge, and parts of the St. Joe Divide North trail for a fun day ride.
