Trail Overview
2709 Road weaves and wanders through the Ponderosa Pines of the Coconino Plateau. While there are no obstacles on this road, you'll see evidence of elk, wild horses, and burn scars of past forest fires. This single-lane dirt road has some rocky sections, but nothing too challenging. This trail crosses the Arizona Trail, a National Scenic Trail from Mexico to Utah that traverses the whole north-south length of the U.S. state of Arizona.
