Trail Overview
The East side of this traverse might make you feel good about your choice of trails. It's dirt, there's plenty of room to pass other traffic, and you're surrounded by beautiful mixed pine trees. Birds are singing, and the wind is gently blowing through the trees. Heading West, you'll pop out onto a beautiful plateau into a large meadow where elk, deer, and antelope frolic in the vast open grassland. As you head over the ridge, more technical driving is needed. Large rock gardens and obstacles up to 12" await, as well as off-camber wash crossings, ledges, erosion, and tight turns through the Juniper trees. The views are beautiful along this trail, so feel free to take your time, as there's no rush. Paint damage is guaranteed along some sections as the trees are tight in some places.
