Box Canyon Spur

Trail Overview

The 1.5-mile Box Canyon Spur is an easy bailout from the Box Canyon Trail that goes south to Box Canyon Road, which is a graded wide road with lots of camping. The spur is mostly flat and straight through forest and meadows. It goes on the shelf of a hillside but has no major obstacles. There's a little bit of rock, and one big downed log that you have to get over, but has a pile of sticks built up on each side to help ramp up it. There is also one easy creek crossing. This is a good way to connect to many of the trails in the area if camping off of Box Canyon Road.
