Trail Overview
The Old Monashee Highway was the original travel route during the prospector days. It has grown in and is no longer required ever since they built the highway. There are some steep sections on the downhill side of the route and a number of switchbacks. To take this route back in the day would have been an interesting trek.

Difficulty
The road is not particularly rough but there are steep switchbacks and ledges to travel along that have some signs of washout or deterioration. Tight tree clearances in sections will scratch your rig along the way.
