Trail Overview
You can expect a smooth, relaxing dirt road that can be accessed any time of year no matter the conditions. You will be driving through all stages of forest life along this road. It starts in a clear cut that quickly turns into a young forest about 5-10 years old. After driving through that for a while, you will get close to the river and start to encounter the mature Douglas fir and cedar trees of Vancouver Island. There is a trail down to the Sandy River Campsite that can be done in any size vehicle if you take your time and pick proper lines.
