Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 6801 is a fun and bumpy off-road trail, especially after recent rainfall. Located less than 2 miles from M-37 near White Cloud, Michigan, this route is easily accessible. Most of the trail consists of dirt and weaves through a beautiful forest with great fall foliage. There is one spur trail, NFS 9598, which is towards the end of this out-and-back trail. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. At the time of this submission, it was very rutted out in some spots with lots of mud after recent rainfall. A stock high-clearance 4x4 vehicle should be able to conquer this trail. The end of the trail makes a loop at a hiking trail with plenty of room to turn a vehicle around. This is a trail that should be experienced at least once to take in its sincere beauty.
