Trail Overview
306J Trail is a small, level, easy offshoot of Forest Road 306/Donaldson Tank Road. This trail gently weaves its way through the Ponderosa Pine and scrub brush to terminate at the Tusayan Airport, so if you're looking for a wide, easy path to just hang out on, picnic, and possibly see some elk, this is your trail! If you're lucky you'll have a front-row view of a few planes taking off or landing at the airport, as this trail enters airport to land on the South end of the runway...but don't count on it, this airport is primarily used for the helicopter tours that operate scenic views of the Grand Canyon, to the North.
