Johnson wash trail 96 is an easy meandering trail outside of Cherry and Dewey. It is a 6 mile long trail offering many camping opportunities and great views. This trail makes of 6 miles of the 800 miles of the Great Western trail in Arizona. The Great Western trail is a 3000 mile plus trail running all the way from Canada to Mexico. This is a great area to plan for camping if doing the Great Western Trail. It is mostly grasslands and cactus. Cell phone service is 2-3 bars so be sure to download your maps ahead of time.
