Trail Overview
Slader Ridge is a great trail if you want to see some scenic overlooks. It's an offshoot from Gardeners Fork and like that canyon, it's very rocky and slow-going. It switchbacks up the side of the canyon until you come out on top of the ridge. There, you are afforded beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. On a clear day, you can see over to Morgan Valley or even to the Timpanogos Mountains. It is not recommended to run this trail with anything wider than a Jeep unless you are okay with some Rocky Mountain pinstriping on your paint. The track ends at a great campground (which are few and far between) that will allow you to stay and explore some of the other offshoots along Slader Ridge and down in Slader Basin.

Difficulty
This trail is slow going as it consists of mostly softball-sized and larger rocks. A lift is recommended along with a narrow vehicle, unless you don't mind getting your paint scratched. There are plenty of pull-offs to allow vehicles to pass one another. In the late spring/early summer, water typically flows down the trail, making the surface slick and muddy.
