Trail Overview
The Eagle Nest Traverse is a cut-through trail that runs primarily alongside the railroad tracks over Eagle Nest Mountain. Mostly rock and dirt, there are no obstacles on this trail, except for a couple of small rocky areas that have been filled in. It is lined, by the railroad on the South, and a fence on the North. That being said, there is ample room to turn around if need be. The views from the tops of the hills on this road, as well as the tunnels on each end that serve as access points, are highlights of this trail.
