Trail Overview

This is a straightforward, well-graded dirt road, spacious enough to accommodate two vehicles side by side, making it easily traversable by any type of vehicle. Initially, you'll encounter some light washboards along the way, with occasional sections of the same rough terrain. However, for the most part, the road offers a relatively smooth surface, providing a delightful and enjoyable journey. The landscape gradually shifts from a desert environment mixed with dark hills to a breathtaking view of the ocean once you emerge from the mountains. As you approach the coast, there is a noticeable drop in temperature, making this location a fantastic destination for a summer getaway in Baja. Malarrimo is a quaint fishing camp that experiences varying levels of activity, depending on the season and the type of fish they are pursuing at that time. Consequently, it can be either bustling with activity or incredibly peaceful. Keep in mind that these camps lack traditional amenities or services. However, the fishermen who inhabit the area are generally amiable and welcoming. It's worth noting that there is security present, and they might inquire about your intentions while in the vicinity. Camping and exploring is not prohibited.
