Trail Overview
This trail begins near the highway to the observatory and passes by the entrances to two ranches, following a well-traveled road through areas recently impacted by wildfires that have dramatically altered the landscape. Further along, the route reveals deep tire ruts, remnants of old Baja off-road races. As you pass the turnoff to the Southern Loop, the road becomes increasingly remote and less frequented, with sections that descend into lush, green valleys before climbing out two or three times. The trail eventually connects to the Old Race Route and the end of the Southern Loop, offering a more secluded and rugged adventure.
